BIOGRAPHY:

Flatlands are based in Sheffield and have been making waves both locally and in the wider UK scene for some time now.  With a stash of impressive gigs already under their belts Flatlands seem to be becoming more and more popular as time goes on.  Flatlands have already proved themselves to be one of the most exciting and promising bands on the current UK circuit. 

Wielding a unique sound that some may describe as being a mix of the stripped down, post-metal feel that Neurosis invoke on later records with the punishing silence/wall of sound attack Khanate employ so well Flatlands debut EP 'Vermuyden' is a shining beacon of originality for heavy UK bands everywhere.

Combing devastatingly heavy tracks such as ‘This Song Is A Film’ with ambient/noise soundscapes such as ‘Slow Down For The Aslackby Bends’ the band showcase another side to their repertoire that some previous listeners may not anticipate.  Mastering more and more sounds the band has an interesting and wide range of elements to use on their attack on the senses.
